Why this blog? I want a place to offer thoughts about faith and life and to share them with those interested. I hope you find my thoughts faithful and demonstrative of a life lived following Jesus Christ. Needless to say, the thoughts here are my own and are offered with candor, which means that the thoughts do not (necessarily) reflect those of the church where I minister, my denomination, or of anyone else. If we agree, or if we disagree, I welcome you here as my brother and sister in Christ.

Here might reside e-votionals, commentary, sermon or lectionary ideas, references to current events, and some humor. Some posts will reflect the lighter side of human life, others will point to our potential for error. I hope to offer reflection about the current state of my particular denomination, but beyond that, to Christianity and faith in general in 21st century America.
