All Women of the Church are Welcome to Attend!
TOGETHER IN SERVICE
For more than 200 years, Presbyterian women have demonstrated a commitment to serve the mission of the church in a special, caring ways. The women of Southminster have been doing this in the community by volunteering in programs for the homeless and for those economically stressed. Parish nurses are now an active part of the church and those on the Family Life committee see that church families are supported. The many women who are on Deacons help in reaching out to community needs. Globally women have participated in work camps and mission trips, supported Fair Trade programs, provided health kits, shared in the national offerings for ecumenical programs, and helped to fill needs in hospitals in Africa.
The new mission program for Presbyterian women stresses that together in service we can live out our faith by using our individual gifts and talent where needed. In the new program, every gift of service is needed and appreciated. Your talents are needed to help Presbyterian women world wide bring hope to our sisters (and brothers) whose daily lives are marked by unbelievable stress and hardship.

Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves

faith through prayer and Bible study,
- to support the
mission of the church worldwide,
- to work for justice
and peace,
- and to build an inclusive,
caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and
witnesses to the promise of God's kingdom.
