All Women of the Church are Welcome to Attend!
TOGETHER IN SERVICE
SPW PURPOSE
Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the
Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves
- to nurture our
faith through prayer and Bible study,
- to support the
mission of the church worldwide,
- to work for justice
and peace,
- and to build an inclusive,
caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and
witnesses to the promise of God's kingdom.
SPW MISSION
Benevolence Giving and Cents Ability program
Through the Birthday Offering in May/June and the Thank Offering in November, we join other Presbyterian women in supporting special national and international grant programs to meet basic needs of health, education, child care, protection from violence, and training for gainful employment. At the end of each year money from our benevolence fund is given to a variety of agencies working for peaace and justice throughout the world. This year the money went to Living Waters for the World, Presbyterian Children's Services, and Good Samaratan Fund of Presbyterian Manor. Also, the Cents Ability program provides support for the Presbyterian Hunger Program.
